Little Treasures

Well, here is an experiment -- a list of one hundred art objects and other small things, for dropping into a treasure hoard as-is or altered as desired. Nothing fancy, but it will hopefully get the job done?

I hope that the file cooperates; this is my first time trying this sort of thing. Feedback is muchly appreciated!

These are fantastic! I can't tell you how many times I roll my eyes when the DM glosses over actually describing treasure we find and we end up just writing down the GP value. All of these add a lot of richness to a part of the game that is often devoid of it, and each little entry can be tinkered with to fit the background of the individual campaign.
Great job!

Very nice! I really like the descriptions and the way these could be reworked or revalued, or even made magical. You should submit this to Fight On! or Knockspell or some publication.

Any chance you could "redo" your list with numbers, so we can roll dice and get a random entry?

Yes! I love stuff like this--for some reason, I have a real stumbling block when it comes to describing art objects and such.

And I agree with Chgowiz, a numbered version would indeed be nice if it's not too much trouble... ;)

Very nice. I'm a big fan of lists of items to add color and detail to the game, especially when you're ad-libbing, which seems to happen with disturbing frequency in my games....

File downloaded and saved. Is there any higher compliment? I think not.

Thank you very much, everyone! I'm glad you like 'em; they were definitely interesting to think up.

@Chgowiz, sirlarkins:

I'll try to get a numbered one put up within the next day or so --

Darn. I must've missed the download window of opportunity, it doesn't work now. If you'd like hosting for your file, I'll be glad to help. twitter me at http://twitter.com/sambearpoet

Hm. That's rather odd; I just tested it (it's hosted at Orbitfiles) and it downloads fine. There was somewhat of a lag before Orbitfiles loaded, however ...

It isn't working for me either. It's just returning a "File not found" error.
